Hi all,
Someone broke into my car, breaking the rear vent glass.
I was thinking to buy it, and replace myself.
Is it easy to replace?
Do I need to remove the door panel?
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

the whole back window of the car? Like this?

At least they didn't break any windows that move up & down in a track........ Had someone do the drivers window on my old Jeep, had to get the glass out of to track, what a pain.
As far as doing it yourself.....WHY? Just pay to have it done right with cash, or insurance. It won't cost that much. Those are not easy things to diy .

Sorry to hear about the break-in. That sucks!

I think he means the quarter panel glass. I would recommend to get insurance to do it (if you have comprehensive coverage).

From my days at Honda, i remember seeing subcontractors come in to replace windows because a special sealant has to be used

3m window weld. A tube of that is like $30 now. Used to be pretty cheap.

Also what year car and is this for a coupe/sedan? Drivers side passenger side? and the R and L side glass have different prices on them for some reason. The sedans look the same but the coupe glass is different on CHH.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the rear side door triangle glass(which is also called a vent window because the triangle ones front or rear use to be able to open, hence "vent")

Hasn't been online since making the post
