Red Bull Stratos Jump

Was this how he practiced? They have vertical air tunnels now days to practice in(wish they were around when I started jumping). He should have done that with his pressure suit on.

They have one of the tallest(with more air speed) in the world right down here near Fort Bragg,NC.(home of the Golden Knights),(Army team).

It is about $2500-3000 to get an "A" License now (about 25 jumps). Not to mention gear can run you $5000 plus if you buy new.

Both our jumps were from 12,500. I can't wait to do it again!

Must have missed this when you replied before. Before my wife and I decide to get licensed, I plan on doing this as I feel it is an inexpensive way to practice maneuvers. I would hate to have to repeat jumps due to failing a technique.
They didn't have wind tunnels when I was jumping, I'd have to pack my chute wait for the next flight, jump out and get a whole minute of practice... whoopee.....
I don't know how much they charge or how many minutes you can get at one time, but I'd say to "begin" with if you can stay stable/flat just practice 360 L/R turns.... try a 10 min. slot.... then talk to someone (instructor)..........and ask them what you need to work on.... and how long for each session........

This is the best thing going.......... not only is it more time in the air, it's eliminating the break, so you'll have time to work on getting it right.
Let me know how it goes...

I have seen the cost be anywhere from $10 to $35 a minute. Compared to the cost of a jump this is a steal!
