Ruff Racing?

I'm thinking of getting new wheels for my 2014 black si coupe. It's currently stock and I'm planning on lowering it on eibach sportlines or another spring with a similar drop (~1.5). Been looking at the ruff racing R355s. Has anyone heard anything about Ruff? If so, good or bad? Also, do you think these wheels would look nice on a '14 black si coupe? http://www.statuswheels.com/wheel.cfm?id=2167 Totally open to all suggestions. Thanks
 
Never heard about this brand, but I do like it ruff.:banana whip2: My car on Eibach Sportlines. FYI after the installation the ride was very clunky and I put stock springs back. If you want them then I can sell them for you.

Ran a set of them on a Z33 I used to own, came mounted on the car, until one wheel developed a major bend after hitting something on the expressway. They're knockoff wheels, similar to Rotas, and I wouldn't buy a set unless they were practically free.
 
@stilletto Do you have any recommendations for similar wheels but of nicer quality? Thanks for the reply.
 
@Michal006 What exactly do you mean by clunky? I've never lowered a car before. That kind of stuff is in the back of my mind and some info from experience would be great.And if I did decide to get them I could hit you up for yours :p

You didn't specify which style Ruff you were looking at, but I always recommend Enkei's as a good affordable wheel. I'll be running typical RPF1's on my Evo this spring.

Wheels that I'm really interested won't look too good on a Civic. We can fit 11" Wheels on Evos, so there's a big difference. Find something that grabs your attention, just ditch those ninja stars. Haha.

Any little bump on the road made a lot of noise. It felt like something was loose. Later on I found out that the strut nut wasn't tight enough on both front sides. I decided to take them off anyway and keep the stock ride height until Buddy Club coilovers come out for 2014 models. I've found other Si owners with the same springs and they love them.

Wow thanks for all the detailed info.. Do you have a camber kit you'd recommend? I heard someone had the eibachs and it was fine but he had to get a little camber in the back so it didn't scrape when there were like 3 other people in the car. Is that what you mean? And springs would be better for ride quality than coilovers right? Thanks again!
 
Camber kit is recommended to avoid tire wear on the back. Spc camber kit is probably the best. Stay away from Godspeed or Skunk2. At that time I didn't have camber kits on, but I bought a set of brand new Spc camber kits from @Dar-Dar . With any lowering springs your stock shocks most likely will have to be replaced sooner or later. Coilovers you can always change the ride height. Raise it or lower it as much as you want.
 
So should I buy new shocks when I install the springs or just wait for the stock ones to wear out? Also, what do you think it will cost to have a shop do all this?
 
It depends on your budget to be honest. I'm not sure if there are any shocks available for 2014 models yet. I have no idea about the cost of a shop doing springs installation, but they most likely gonna charge you a lot. Find someone locally with experience that can do the installation for you.
