Ski & Snowboard Thread

I can do platforms but can't do rails. I Want to so badly but they intimidate me. Need to try again this year.

Find a low box first. Don't lean back either. You're natural instinct will be to lean back but if you do you will fall, and fall hard. Lean forward. As crazy as it sounds curved rails and boxes are actually not that hard. The curve pushes back harder so its almost easier to lean into them. Thats all the advice I have.

Don't start on a curved one though! hahahah. Low, flat, wide, box. One that has snow ramped up to it also so you can just glide onto it and not have to jump up to it.

EDIT: PS - its easy! Really!

No snow in the east coast. No snowboarding for me yet...:sadbanana:

We had close to 150cm in November for opening week and i was out 3 times in 5 days. Since then, we've hardly had any snow. Maybe a few centimeters here and there. Bases are down to roughly 115cm last I checked :(

Favorite thing I ever heard from an old grumpy skier:

"I used to hate snowboarders. Now I hate kids who fly past me going backwards on those damn twin tip skis."
