Ski & Snowboard Thread

is it geared towards park/pipe riding? Pretty soft/firm flex?

It's kind of an all-mountain board but it has a very soft flex. It scored a 2 on a 1-10 scale with 1 being soft and 10 being firm. It's my first board, I'm switching because my knees are killing me when I ski and this is a lot easier on me.

Wow Web, that looks amazing. My girlfriend and I were just discussing taking a trip out West next year. We've never been.

Beka and I went again yesterday to try out my new board, I LOVE it and have officially switched to boarding for life lol. I brought my skis and didn't put them on once. I'm slowly getting better at boarding, though it's going to take me a while to get to the skill level I was at with skiing.

This is the mountain I grew up skiing at, lots of nostalgia going back since I haven't been in a few years:

it's beautiful. There are a number of other mountains near salt lake city. Powder mountain has no "resort" & town like many places. It's essentially just the mountain & a few places for sleeping. A lot of the stuff is like 10 miles down the mountain pass. Nearest town is like 15-20min away. So, if you're looking for a place with a lot of food, lodging, etc... you'd want to pass on powder mountain. Still plenty of options in SLC though.

Snowbird is my current fav in SLC. Haven't been to PM though.
stats are fairly similar, except the amount of ski-able area. Think snowbird times almost 3. Granted, they have 3k acres of un-groomed back country that is done by hiking or by snowcat.
