So this happened

Nope, not trying to scare you but there are random checks and unless you plan on staying in Indy (a fate only slightly less worse than death :)), you're going to leave Indiana for something. LEO's carry more than just RADAR units...

(I have a bunch of friends in the tri-state area and they're all good people. By extension you get the same rating (so far :D))
Random checks? Not in MD.

Oh, they have ways to check but keep on thinking that. (and I'll never understand this fetish with removing a cat. Most of the time it just lowers the horsepower and smells like sh!t).
It doesn't affect hp more than a couple compared to a high flow cat but no. Cops can't cite you for that stuff out of state. They can only issue traffic violations to out of state drivers. If your state doesn't do emissions testing you have nothing to worry about. I've already been through this with my uncle who is a police chief around here. And yes, catless exhaust is less restrictive.

Wait you lose hp with catless ?? I thought catless was like 2-3hp more then catted.

No, you gain hp going catless by about 2 or 3. Which is negligible. Depends on how built an engine is. a high hp build can be severely restricted by a cat or even possibly overheat them.
