At my parents house on the iMac. Downloaded the entire Adelle cd about 5 mins ago in about 2 mins or so, lol.
 
I just tested my two laptops at the same time.

Optimum Online with Internet Boost:

Using my 5 year old Acer Aspire 5050(wi-fi).

Using my 4 year old HP 8510w(wi-fi).

I guess the Acer's wi-fi link does not perform as well as the HP's. The Acer is also a year older and has 5.75 gb of ram less than the HP. Lol.
 
Kinda. Lol. I'll try it again. I'll start up the Acer. But the time difference is only 4minutes. I'll try to do them at exactly the same time.
 
I was out in the boonies this week and didn't have 3G only Edge and my speeds where just stupid slow... .06mbps download and .08mbps upload...

From this Hotel I'm staying at for this week. I miss internet in my house. Lol.
 
do most users have their net tied into their tv plans?
 
I do, I am through Bell Aliant Fibre Op. I get TV, Internet and Phone all in one bundle. I have to laugh at my speeds though. Not even close to what they advertise. I am going to re-run the test when i get home from a wired connection and see...I don't think there will be a lot of change in the DL, but it should raise the UL a bit.
