Starting on November 11, a few days before the Grand Prix, the Lone Star state will also be the one sporting the highest speed limit in the country as Texas Transportation officials approved an 85 mph limit along a 41-mile distance of State Highway 130 (SH130), which connects state capital Austin to San Antonio.

:ohsnap:

I wonder if 90-95 mph gets ignored, or if they're extra stringent.

I would really love to drive on the Autobahn some day. I didn't have enough time when I was in Germany last.

there are 80mph highways in Utah. Most of the traffic was flowing into the 90's with police actually passing those drivers without pulling people over.

I had a NJ trooper pass me on I78 a couple of months ago, while I was going 80-85. The limit is 65.

I was amazed.

^ that is a lucky break.

I wouldn't be surprised if all car forums are setting up speed events for that road

I don't know if I'm more impressed with how effortlessly he hit 220mph, or the fact that the speed camera caught his plate that clear at 180mph +

yeah, imagine if it happened when they were doing the 200+mph runs!

^ :bricks:

That's really crazy...and those things are huge bricks too. Tasty road bacon? >_>
