anyone know if they in fact have them available for the 2012 civic si? I've tried searching and only seen people ask about their springs not shocks. I also get mixed results on line. Also has anyone tried 8th gen shocks/struts on our 9th gen si's? I'm pretty set on picking up either Eibach Sportlines or Skunk2 springs.

how do you like them? I lowered my car on Eibach Sportlines with factory struts and shocks and the ride is kind of harsh. Now I've been driving lowered cars since '99 so I know what to expect. But this is ridiculous. This is also my first set of Eibach springs. I've always used Tein STechs, Progress Sport, Sprint, and Neuspeed race springs. I cut the bumpstops the way Eibach instructed. Any feed back would be appreciated.

I love them. have heard mixed reviews when just swapping for the truhart springs. Springs and shocks are great though, not a real aggressive spring/shock combo but does stiffen up the ride while keeping a nice ride on rougher roads not harsh at all<<IMO but my other car is set up for autocross and rides like a damn lumber wagon.

I didn't notice a HUGE difference in ride quality, better road feel.

Awesome drop too i think

So there is an improvement over the factory shocks/struts with lowering springs?

I noticed it said civic and not civic si everywhere i was able to find these. Is that because they are made for normal civics or can the si and non si models use the same springs and struts?

They should use different ones. There are differences in the front knuckle so that the non-si cannot run the HFP suspension kit like you could on the 8th gen. Be careful and make sure you get the parts you need and the correct parts.

Question: do shocks lower the car anymore? I asked around and one of my friends told me there is a such thing as adjustable shocks but according to him whether they are adjustable or not, aftermarket shocks are shorter than OEM ones, hence they will lower the car alittle. I told him the adjustments are only for Stiffness (to the best of my knowledge) but it got me thinking. I would love to lower another inch or close to an inch (I have springs)

The springs control the ride height. The shock controls the damping and rebound. On a coilover setup you adjust the ride height by effectively adjusting the compression on the spring. Some, however, allow adjustment by actually lengthening or shortening the shock body itself

I actually called TruHart and the representative told me it's the same part number for the Si. I even verified since I could only see listings for 8th gen si's. I believe the part number TH-505.

Be careful with that. If they are using the same housing/body on the front struts as the 8th gen then there will be no mounting point for your front sway bar and it will have to be removed. There are significant differences between the 8th/9th suspensions. A lot of parts are interchangeable but the front struts are not unless you are looking to completely remove the front sway. That is a quite a project in itself.

I would verify with tru hart that if they are using the same shock body that it includes the correct mounting points.

@12CIVIC_SI yours is a Si coupe right? What part number did you use for the truhart shocks and did you need to remove your front sway bar? @Nix is there a difference between coupe and sedan suspension?

As far as I know there is little to no difference between the coupe/sedan suspension, possibly a slight change in spring rate but nothing significant that I know of. No reason one wouldn't fit the other.

However, there are significant differences between the SI an non-Si cars and between the 9th/8th gen cars even though many many parts are interchangeable.

Ok, waiting to hear back from @12CIVIC_SI then. Doesn't look like me tagging him worked but i don't know why. It's worked from tapatalk before.
