Turbo+ AWD!!!!!

Jeff was like a 13.8, right? I was barely a second sloweer than him when my SI was completely stock. lol and he was stage 2 then, but on his stock turbo, I know he's upgraded since.

Yes when I was Stage 2. 1st time ever @ the track. Next to a LOUD Firebird. Grandma driving!

You drive it like 1000x harder than I drive mine

Good point. But then again, like I said, my car begs to be beaten like a red headed step child. LOL! Your car is probably capable of low 13's, maybe even high 12's if you can get a good launch.
I'll hopefully be running mine soon :woot:

Then you'll see my broken clutch post :giggle:

Upgrade to an STi tranny? lol

Too much work, I like my 5spd, plus they've been beefed up.

I wondered if the new WRX Trannys had been beefed up at all compared to the old ones. I read that was one of the big issues people had with them.

These have the old Leggy tranny, which is a bit stouter. Just don't do 6k drops and it'll be fine kind of stout. LOL

Jeff- I was stage 2, got a 13.68 and didn't launch real hard, so your time isn't bad. My first time as well. I forget what my trap speed was, though. I think you'd be low 13s, maybe high 12s with your current setup.

Long appointment with a client, and now class. Boo!

I don't like running cars in a straight line its too boring, needs some corners.....

I have never tried Auto-X, though I'd love to. I'm a bit scared to run around a track with other cars, for fear of the other drivers pushing their car too hard and messing up mine. Plus Drag is a lot less wear and tear on the car.

I'd like to try auto-x too. These events make me wish I kept my old WRX, though. I don't want to risk this one. Now I want a toy car.

Well Auto-X is solo runs and all your doing is racing the clock, so any damage to your car is your fault.... I want to get back into auto-x but I need suspension and tires....

I've been reading about handling on my car, and from what I hear, the Progress RSB is only 150 and it's the best money ever spent.

See here we have Langley, you only get 2 laps by yourself and its a small track, and you have to run with others if you wanna do that. I don't wanna do anymore laps after. I'd rather have the track by myself, like you said, then I can get a better feel for the car.

Auto-x puts you in classes with others though, and suspension mods usually puts you in class with more experienced drivers. I'd run the stock class first. Improve the driver before improving the car, kind of deal.

I wanna see if I can rip a low 13, this car is much more powerful than my Legacy.

Tires are the best money spent for handling & grip, RSB just makes the back end come out a bit quicker....loose is fast.

I may be getting a set of RPF1s next month, If I do, I think I'm just gonna get a set of Yokahoma S-Drives. I don't have a ton of money to spend on it. Opinions on these?
