Turbo+ AWD!!!!!

I know you wouldn't be able to take the whole thing off, just let me know what you're going to do, and I will plan around it. Did you plan on taking your car?

Anywho, I'm about to :rage: on Russ in the 757 Thread on 8th. There is a guy in there who wants to install a supercharger and Russ has talked him into bringing it to his apartment and letting it sit all weekend while they do it. He said he knows how to tune car, I just wanna BLOW UP on him, but i'm too nice of a guy. Maybe I'll just shoot the other guy a PM and say I wouldn't let ANYONE tune my car who doesn't have a damn good reputation behind them.

Granted, all they have to do is Flash the Comptech Stage 2 map from FP onto it, but I just don't want them to think that it's ok to let just anyone play with your car. There is one guy in there that said to do ti by the books and flash the map and everything will be fine, which is right, I just don't want them to think you can play with it to get a little more power and be ok. At least not without professional guidance.
 
8th won't load for me. I replied briefly using Tapatalk. For the record, injectors aren't that hard. The only thing I wouldn't be comfortable doing is a tune.
 
I can see the post on 8th now...... I let this guy help me install my S/C and he said that he could tune my car better than the normal FP and I think I overboosted and now my car is not running right, what can I do to fix this....
 
Well the thing is, the CT supercharger can't take more than like 19k revolutions, If they start cranking up the boost and "thinkin" it is running right, say bye bye to that supercharger. I know a guy right now who is right around 18k RPM and he has to run an aftercooler and it has been professionally tuned, but it's pushed right to it's edge. They are just taking this defensive approach that it's all gonna be ok. I'm not saying it wont, I just wouldn't do it.

My thoughts exactly. The guy offering is a typical red headed stepchild too, and thinks he knows everything about everything. Some people just don't know when to admit they are a n00b. I wouldn't let him change an exhaust on my car, let alone tune it.

No word yet. I will check back with him tonight. I will probably head up to the dragon Friday morning. I am going to try to spend a day or two with my mom and seeing some old friends before heading there. There's only so much you can do up there anyways.

Reason why I have learned to work on my own car and 2 really close friends who know how to work on cars and one of them is a retired Chief in the Air Force Mechanics.....LOL

But I know my limits and there limits and tuning is best left for the pros
 
I agree completely. I know where major things will happen, and as much as I hate it, I'd rather pay someone who is reputable and experienced. Now basic bolt ons, I'm all for the challenge, and will do lots of research prior to doing so. I even am that way with tuning, which is why I haven't gone stage 2 yet.

It's getting interesting in there. I threw a personal blow out on why I wouldn't let the guy work on it. Yes, I'm an ******* and I know it.
