Hi guys,

I am thinking about "blacking" out the roof with vinyl wrap.

What company do you recommend?

Where do you get it from?

Thanks,

Have it done professionally unless you are an expert with vinyl. Its not that its hard, its just that the roof is huuuuge. If you can vinyl wrap small things very well you could probably handle it. When you move up to such a large sheet you need to be good at it. A small mistake at the start becomes a big mistake at the end. Usually places don't charge too much for a simple panel. That said, you are paying for their experience.

Call around and see who does it and check pricing and that sort of guarantee they offer with their work.

It's so easy.... I ordered a section for my hood.... color is close to the "PMM: Polish Metal Metallic"(which my car is not).
This is what I plan on doing with it.......

@Tak, I also ordered something they call "Knifeless Tape", which is used to adhere to your car at sides/edges where you might want to cut it clean with out putting the point of a knife against the paint, so this stuff is a 2 part wire.....
1st you lay down the coated wire how & where you want the cut in the vinyl, then lay the vinyl over it.... pull the wire and it cuts the vinyl.
Here's a few links I will be using to apply my vinyl to my hood, and thought you may want to see them....... Warning: I would not attempt this if it weren't for the 3M vinyl @webby vid showed....... I use to do some work where I'd lay 2" & 3" tape on curved helmets so I know how to work tape, but this is BIG, and this 3m is workable I think. There's another link for how the tape works.
