I have decided to replace my springs with the Eibach 4088.141 Pro Kit springs for Si sedan ($209 shipped from Amazon, minus $21 eibach rebate plus another $27 in Amazon bucks = $161!)

Car will be a bit lower, I think 1.2" and 1.0," nothing radical. I'm not getting the Eibach fr or rr sways right now, but wonder what other steps to take to ensure proper handling, tire and shock wear, etc. on this otherwise oem suspension.

The Eibach springs are very close to the stock spring rates, so your stock dampers are fine. You are lowering the car about 1"; so you are right at the point where you will notice a little increased rear tires wear.... so if you are really anal about rear tire wear, then get the camber adjusters... but if you are an aggressive driver and can deal with a little extra tire wear in back, then don't worry about the rear camber adjusters.

Hope that helps. :)

good info. I am thinking about an Eibach set up as well, only i am interested in the sportlines, and the rear sway bar. Am keeping an eye out as to whether or not i would need a camber kit. From what i've gathered i would, the above helps confirm that i would.

With the Pro-Kit springs you will need a rear camber kit to get back to OE specs. I have them as well as the front and rear Anti-Roll Bars on my 2012.
Without an alignment kit you will be in the area of -2 degrees on the Si.

The non Si models can align back to OE without any adjustments.

Does eibach make more than one type of springs for our si's? I was thinking about getting the kit that comes with sway bars.

Thanks. It handles much better now. But when I went over a 15mph speed bump at about 7 mph, it sounded funny on left front, like something's slightly loose or squeaky. It didn't bottom out. Don't know what would account for that. Gonna take it back tomorrow and have it looked at.

As it turns out, the shop put the eibach dampers (designed for the rear shocks) on the front, left the oem's on the rear, and put the oem front bump stops in the box with the old springs. OOPS.

At 2:30 today, They are going to correct the mistake. Unfortunately, they have to re-do all four wheels and probably realign again.

So the shop took out front struts and put oem stops back. Here's the email I had to send them to get parts that should be included in all 2012 Si kits, but are not a part of the kit:

Dave:

I spoke to you today from the tire and wheel shop that installed my Kit No. 4088.140 springs on my 2012 Civic Si 4dr sedan.

The mechanics could not get the metal sleeve off of the upper portion of the oem rear shocks, because the sleeves are crimped or dimpled at the factory to stay on. You took down information from me to send sleeves, but your computer froze. You asked me to send the following information:

[address deleted]

Attached is a copy of the purchase receipt. I would note that there was only one page of instructions for the install, which was so vague that the professional installers at a 40yr operation, and who are used to installing your products, could not make heads or tails of the instructions.

Moreover, if, as is apparently the case with this installation, the installer is required to cut the dimple out of the sleeve with a die grinder to get the sleeve off (to install the bump stop under the shock boot), that should have been in the instructions and new sleeves should have been a part of this kit. This model has been out for over a year now.

Eibach prides itself and is known for its quality products. This was a disappointing experience, and needless extra time was spent on my car by the installers. They rejected as a bad idea, your suggestion that the crimp simply be cut from the sleeve and the sleeve re-used. They thought that it would rust and could then fail.

You agreed to send new sleeves. Of course, that means that, once I get them, I will incur the additional expense of having the rear shocks removed and the sleeves cut away to make way for the new ones. Then the bump stops can be properly installed under the shock boot.

Please feel free to show this email to your engineering and marketing departments, as in "fail."

It's not all bad. I do have to commend Eibach and the tech support department on the speed with which I got through to you and Jared today.

Eibach springs I like, there sway bars not so much. I had a rear sway bar snap in half on me, and in doing that found out its hollow, so push too hard and it might break...

So Eibach's sales dept emailed me an invoice today. Two sleeves for the rear shocks.

Wow. I'm glad I didn't get one. I've heard they add more harshness than grip on the sedan.

I've got the Pro-Kit and sway bars front and back. It's been back to the shop twice and a call into Eibach and no answer. I've got a noise coming from the right front when turning the wheel left under 5mph. No one can seem to figure it out. Frustrated....
