Redshift Motorsports Coilovers
Pricing Varies Based On Options
red_002.png

2012 Civic coilover on the right. We start with a brand new OEM Honda strut (used one pictured at left for
reference) and end up with a well designed and perfectly fitting coilover system with the Koni "Sport" or "Race" shocks as it's key performance feature.

CarlosNewPic.jpg

Featuring Koni Sport shocks and related services
Widely considered the best performance damper value by motorsport veterans for combination street and track, these Koni Sport "Yellows" offer adjustable rebound damping for superb car control in a wide range of applications (street, autocross, and track). These are extremely well-engineered dampers that offer a great combination of stock-like street comfort with the option of stunning performance at the quick turn of a knob!!
....And RedShift can do all required strut fabrication for you.
ALL Koni SPORT kits below use an "insert" that is designed to be installed inside the stock front strut housings of the 2006-2011 Honda Civic. This insert fits perfectly inside the 2012+ Civic housing as well. If you are not comfortable doing the modification, we offer "refundable core housings" or brand new housings so that we can ship you pre-installed front struts that will bolt up with no additional fabrication required!!!

Nice Nice job Webby. Thank you.

Could somebody explain the benefits of a coilover system, versus others? Are they more adjustable and versatile than a 'one size fits all' system? (I'm totally guessing there) I mean, is that the main selling point... the only selling point, the race dampening things... other things?!! All I know is that for $1500 there'd better be a lot of good reasons. :omg:

I would like members to chime in about any problems they have had with a product (Ex. noises, difficulties installing etc.)
Also, would like to know if other products would be need to have altered suspension with the installation of the springs or if stock shocks can handle the drop.

Finally, given the choices, what direction would you point someone who was looking for a small drop (do no want to rub ever) and high quality springs that have no chance of making any unwanted noises???? The Road Magnets are less expensive and the drop seems right for me, but is their reputation for quality excellent?. Thanks for any help!

H and R - $329 (Drop: 1.6 - 1.4 Rear) Same drop for Si and Non Si???
Eibach Pro Kit - $339 (Drop: 1.2 - 1.0 Rear) For NON Si
Road Magnet - $260 (Drop : 1.5 - 1.2 Rear) Same drop for Si and Non Si???
Eibach Sportline- $ (Drop: 1.8 - 1.8 Rear) Same drop for Si and Non Si???
8th Gen Eibach - $

h&r - same drop listed on h&r's site
Road magnet is 1 set of springs that both could use. "**Drop heights may vary slightly between models." - They do not list the drop for non-si.
sportlines aren't out yet, unless you're talking about 8thgens?

Example: 8th gen eibach sportlines on a 9th gen civic

fr.sized.jpg

fr2.sized.jpg

A number of users had issues with roadmagnets initially which led them to try and make new springs. They ended up keeping the same design and shipping out rear isolators from the 8th gen si to make them work.

Are all Road Magnet issues cleared up with these new isolators?
Perhaps I would be better to go with H and R. Do you think rubbing would ever be an issue with a Drop of 1.6" - 1.4" Rear?

How much does rim and wheel size come into play?
I would guess that the larger the rim size is the smaller the gap would get....is that right?

:eek:Yikes! After reading all the problems that people were having with Road Magnets I know I will stay away from those.

ok um did any1 have to change out the rear isolators for 8thgen springs to fit on a 9th ??????
if so where can i buy them ???

Im thinking about going with the Tein Street Advance coilovers as ive heard of issues from some of the other products mentioned. I was just wondering if anyone has gone with that setup yet?? I want the car to ride nice and be completely practicle for daily use. Having said that raises my next question, does tein offer a camber kit or will just about anyone work nomatter the kit I use? I dont wanna eat tires.

I just cant see myself spending 1k - 1.5k on a damping system just for everyday use ...i dont road race and i go to the drag strip at least 2 times a year so it really dosent pay for me to do it and i dont wanna slam it to the ground either ...
ive been there with my turboed teggy and it cause more probs then just good looks .
your tires get eaten quicker you gotta enter parking lots sideways and lets not forget about feeling every little crack on the road and the lovely bottoming out when you hit a nice dip on the road and scaping your pan or body kit ...

ahhhh good times LMAO !

if you drop the car more than 2-3 inches it will throw it off and you might notice more tire wear than normal so you most likley need a camber kit .
