I really struggled in deciding between SWP and Lightning Red. Part of my reasoning for SWP was to not match you, Josh. I ♥ my SWP though. Yum!

What's attractive about the TubroXS? I was reading a research on the quality of the supposedly used steel in the exhaust systems. You should check it out. When I finish writing this paper, I will try to dig up the thread on 3GWRX.

Dawn, I'll pass on soulfood.

I am indulging in chocolate chunk cookies tonight. Total fat kid night for me!

As far as I know chicken and waffles are soulfood.

Then again, the only "souldfood" items I will eat are mac n'cheese & cornbread. From what I've seen on FB, my sister got all the black blood. I got all the white.

They're offering it for $600 on their site because of a small dent in the muffler. As far as the quality of exhaust systems I can tell you that magnaflow uses low quality 409 grade stainless that rusts like crazy in NEPA winters. I know because I had one on my LGT, I think turbo XS uses better stuff.

I'm almost certain I'm going with the borla for my car, and they use much higher quality stuff.

Mmmm. borla hush is teh YUM!

here is the link I was talking about. It's a pretty interesting read.

 after reading that I'd say TXS uses the same crap as magnaflow. magnaflow mufflers and tips are a better quality stainless.

My biggest regret with the LGT is that I got the magnaflow exhaust instead of the borla because I wanted to save a buck, not anymore!

Decided to put the exhaust purchase off another month, turns out I spent waaay more than I thought in OC. But I'm not gonna get the turbo xs :eyebrows: , going a bit more expensive.
:rotfl: only YESTERDAY you said that you were buying the exhaust either Tue or Wed.

:shady: yeah well I changed my mind seeing that I spent money left & right at OC.

..and I wanna do it right instead of just deleting my mufflers

I agree with you completely, Jason. My biggest regret with the TR is I did everything the cheap way. Ebay exhaust, cheap map, STi springs, and some other basics. I bought the limited because I wanted nice things, and I would rather keep it stock than put crap on my car.

BTW, you DESPERATELY need a short shifter. When I saw your car, not knowing it was yours, my first comment was that I sure as hell don't miss that shifter.

I'm trying to knock out my credit card, whcih should be done this or next payday, but after that, some finishing touches- red tails, new front mudflaps (cut mine down at an angle on accident), and a shift boot to fit the SS better.

It already has the oem sti short shifter, I like it and its not too short like the kartboy.

My credit card is screaming this month:giggle:, I want to take it easy this coming month before I go all out on an exhaust.

I can't afford any other trips this year. I'm a broke ***** this year. Boo for bad sales!

Jason, maybe it's the shift knob that makes it look so big. I love the KB SS. Had it in my old one too.
