I may have said this elsewhere, but it bears repeating. I, too, sent Redline my oem 9th Si boot to "Maciek," the owner of Redline Goods in Poland (Feb this year). He was to cut it up, use it as a template and send me a "free" boot in return. I never received it. I don't care, because the oem boot looked like cr** anyway.

Update:

I just received the boot today and sure enough, it was mailed out of Poland on March 3, 2013! I don't want or need it, so, I'm putting it up for sale. It is the only one of its kind, and I just checked redline's website. They have not added the '12-'13 Si to their list of models yet. Since I can't find the two plastic collars from the oem boot to fit this up, I'm going to sell it. I did pull the console piece to make sure it fits at the base. It does nicely. It'll be in the classifieds in a minute.

So they didn't give you the black plastic ring back that was on the OEM boot?

Found'em and installed the two plastic collars. Here's what Redline's '12-'13 boot looks like ready to install. I have an allen bolt in place of a shift knob, but you can see the retainer bolt settled into the collar piece.

Hmm, it looks great. I just don't dig the leather. I'll post some pics of the Bride one they sent me once it arrives.. It will be black with red stitching. I sure hope I', not missing any pieces. If I am, though, I'll order a counter sunk shift knob like a Moddiction and just roll the fabric a bit!

Buddy Club Delrin.

Same knob, different color. I got rid of my Moddiction countersunk/weighted knob. I just need to figure out what to do with the boot, for now a hair tie works.

Why did you get rid of your Moddiction knob for this one?

The Moddiction knob got too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. A countersunk knob looks nice, but I like the height on my current setup better. Less time my hand has to travel between the steering wheel and knob.

I wish there was a plate like the ferraris that had the shift pattern cut out, when I was 18 I drove a 308 that had that,I thought it was pretty cool, probably a pipe dream I'm sure

hotdogjohnny My old age brain failed me again. My boot's similar, but only has a single red stripe. :pat:

I agree. I've always wanted a gated shifter similar to Ferrari's and Lamborghini's in my Civic. Not that I think it would somehow infuse my car with Italian supercar dna, but it's a MUCH cleaner look than having a shift boot.

Looks like burlap. I prefer leather, but its what YOU like that counts. It probably looks way better in person.

maybe it's because I've never seen the Bride material in person. I was a little harsh, sorry. Did you get it from Redline? It's well made.

Like you said, we all have our own opinions on what we like and dislike. However, definitely no need to insult another person's taste. But thank you for the apology. :)

I didn't insult your taste. I apologized for the harsh assessment -- burlap. I just re-read the thread and realize that you did order your boot from Redline, oh, and and you insulted my boot, "I just don't dig the leather." I missed it before! We're all big boys and girls here. So enjoy your boot my friend! :rockwoot: And when I don't want honest opinions, I don't ask!
