the car is amazing. Once I really started to trust it, I was putting some good times in. The car just sticks better than anything I've ever had. The Si, my next best handling car, while fun, just doesn't compare to the effortlessness that is the W. You don't have to fight the car to take a fast corner, the car just does what you ask of it. I figure you may ask, yes, I was getting my tires squealing, but I tried to stay just under that point. My radar detector saved my asssss big time.
I have to recommend driving the dragon on sundays. just a handful of cars/bikes out there. Harley's are the root of all that is evil on the dragon and hellbender. 35 in a 55 is not acceptable speed. (some passing was done). To the people who wouldn't let faster traffic go by on the dragon, hope my car's screaming backfire as I passed your open window alerted you that it is impolite to roll at 10-25. (do as I say, not as I do
) I only had two instances where I pulled over to let sportbikes go by. On Hellbender, I let two bikes go by and then caught up to them again...hahahah. granted they weren't going full out, but my car was in prime form on that run. Then on the dragon, I let two others go by and I lost sight of them within 3 corners hahahaha
as for Fontana, it is a family-fest here in the summer. Lots of activities that go all day long. nothing that interested me, but I can appreciate what they are doing here. not many sporty cars here, a small group of Miata, couple 350/370 Z, BMW 330 coupe, a couple of S2k. Premium gas at Fontana is $4.40/gal. but what are you gonna do, roll to robbinsville?!!? ha! When driving in a spirited manner, I was getting about 18 mpg in the W.
