Tire status
My current Dunlop Z2 have 125 autox runs on them and maybe 3500 miles. There is still tread on the tires and the wear bar is not reached yet (kinda impressed). I have a new set ready to be mounted.
I have upcoming autox events: 8/24, 9/6, 9/13
A) Should I just run the worn tires until wear bar even though that may be in the coming weeks or down there
B) run a few more events then change tires to have fresh tires at the dragon
C) change ASAP and have new, nicely scrubbed tires at the dragon
Let me know.Eh... I might see about meeting Jeff-fa-fa somewhere
Have you noticed a performance drop off at events? I've run them down to cords and as long as the heat cycles aren't too stupidly high, they still perform very well. I also noticed unless you can get a REALLY good/high heat cycle onto a brand new set, that they are horrible at full tread when brand new. 3 seconds slower than scrubbed at the track on a brand new non heat cycled set.Tire status

I've been doing well and the grip is still very good, so the tires still have life. Yea, the Z2 are greasy for about 7 good cycles, then they quickly are ready to go.Have you noticed a performance drop off at events?
