Its prolly in the thread here..but what kinda bike? Specs? What kind of dropper post and how do you like it?

its a 2012 specialized stumpjumper fsr comp evo, its a thomson command post version 2

Here are my mountain bikes of Christmas pasts:

1993 Trek Antelope 800
The front fork bent so I put a Rock Shox Mag 20 on it (check out those 'climbing bars', hee, hee)



My second bike was a Cannondale Killer V 900, I hooked a bar end on a tree one time and it threw me on the ground, no more bar ends after that.



The frame cracked on the Cannondale so I bought a new 1995 Pro-Flex 855 with elastomer bumpers for shock absorption...not worth a crap, especially in the wintertime so I put a Noleen shock on the rear and a Rock Shox Judy (still elastomer, still sucked) on the front.
Eventually the frame cracked on this as well.



Then I purchased a 2000 Specialized FSR Stumpjumper Pro, awesome bike back in the day:



After that I bought a 2005 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Expert with 5" travel, great bike!



By now I'm a full fledged Specialized fanboy and had to have an Epic too, this is my 2010 model:



The 2010 26" Epic always seemed fast but a little squirrelly, so I thought a 2013 Epic with 29" wheels might be the ticket...it was, great bike that's lightweight and fun to ride.

I have the specialized command post. It came on my S-Works. It's held up well. There is a little bit of left/right play but I personally don't notice it when riding.

Very nice ride! Congrats man. Go clipless. I highly recommend some eggbeaters. I do love platforms but the crank brothers eggbeater pedals are fantastic. I tend to switch back and forth.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm gonna prolly ride the rest of the season on flats to learn the bike characteristics, and next season go clipless setup.

I went and bought a set of crank brother 5050s flat pedals. I want to get used to full suspension before I strap myself to the bike. Haha. Will post back after my test ride tonight.

I borrowed my friends '14 stumpjumper who was a big DH guy, so rides flats. I got rid of my SPD's when I sold my singlespeed so just rode with nike sneakers and his shin eating pedals. Yeah. Shin eating is accurate. Never again.

I just got back from my night ride with my new crank brothers 5050 2s. Holy difference. Its crazy how they stick to my flat Nike shoes and just are so much more solid over the cheapy ones I got day 1 and have had on my other hardtail. Makes all the difference in pedaling. Pics tomorrow of the bike after I clean her up.
I'm in love though. Full suspension does wonders climbing and just everything. I don't wanna stop riding. Haha

So I gave her a thorough cleaning after my ride today. I can't get over the finish on this frame. Its perfect. And I just noticed all the decals are painted on and one hell of a clear on it. You get what you pay for in life I suppose. So stoked.

Side note, yeti is putting the SRAM guide r brakes on the 575 now instead of elixers. My bike shop guy was stoked about this and said they are incredible brakes he thinks but I'm the first to have them that he's built. He was right though. Super positive braking, no noise, very solid and predictable pull and activation to them.

Nope. I'm in new Hampshire. Lots and lots of trails and many people building stuff all the time.
