Meh....don't think I will be trying to make/mod one in red. Smart Key fobs are going for $30-$80 on eBay and there is no simple screw to open up the fob like the 8th gen keys. Once you figure all that, then you have to remove the clear plastic piece with out breaking so you can reuse.
I would just spend the $10 for this cover......

My baby has been violated....some savage gave the drivers door a little tap.
Found it when I gave the car a nice full wash today. Removed the dealer sticker on the rear and the civic emblem from the rear.
BMW LED fogs don't fit so those are a no go.
