Also bought some 5Ten shoes(clearance) and will be ordering some RaceFace Chester pedals. Might splurge in the mtn bike specific helmet.

So.... decided to ride my 20+ year old GT Outpost mountain bike yesterday. She's nothing fancy but she still is kickin'! 
Rode for about an hour (no trails yet) around the neighborhood.

Make sure the chain is lubed up. Could always change it out for about $20.

I keep it at my parents house (same neighborhood) and my dad rides it from time to time (more than me lol). He lubed it up this past fall. I should have a buddy do a full tuneup on it.
