Just imagine running a wire across a door, then opening and closing the door. Without a gap for the wire to fit, you'll have trouble closing the door and will eventually break the wire and or ruin the door.
Same thing here. The weatherstripping will get pushed up from the wire, preventing you...
If you don't remove the weather stripping, you run the risk of water seeping into the cabin or the wiring being chaffed by the door being opened/closed.
It's a tedious process, but I think it's recommended.
Looks like they duplicated the OEM sills. They look exactly the same, with the exception of the wires themselves.
Lack of instructions would definitely put me off, which is why I stuck with the OEMs. Just message the buyer and see what he/she says. Their price is less than half of what I paid...
I believe everyone is very aware who team3d is. He's the only contact I know of. He sold them on the other forum, although he only had two sets at the time.
The sizes of the sills haven't changed, but the connector on them are completely different. 2013 Civics have a 28-pin connector, whereas the 2012's have a 20-pin connector; which makes them incompatible.
Now I suppose it's possible to simply wire tap all of the wires from the 2013 sills into...
For the 2012, it's required to wire tap in that very spot shown; the wires aren't long enough to go anywhere else. The 2013's supply a dongle that no longer requires wire tapping.
It took me a little over four hours to finish. I took my time with it though.
I wouldn't say huge, but definitely noticeable. Everything is very snappy.
But then again, I do have 32GB of RAM with a GeForce GTX 690, so nothing is really phasing it right now.
I have a new SSD and my old HDD. I was using both at the same time while installing the OS on the new SSD.
This time I just left off the HDD while I do a clean install. So far so good. I'll reconnect the HDD once I've got everything else installed.
Samsung 840 Pro 512GB.
Because everything on the computer is brand new, it's sometimes hard to track down the cause. I decided to reset the MB back to default and only use the SSD in the comp for now. I'll know if this works after Windows finishes updating itself.
I spent 15 hours yesterday trying to get this new custom-built computer to actually work for more than an hour, but I'm utterly defeated.
I think it has something to do with this SSD. As soon as I swap out the HDD for the SSD, at some point the OS stops booting up and just sits there with a...
Yes and no.
The HID itself isn't like the projector, so it's not plug-n-play. There's additional wiring involved for the ballasts which isn't covered in this article.
The DRLs should be plug-n-play.
The parking and turn-signal require the same custom harness outlines in the DIY.
