New to car modification, or let's say having a car worth modifying. Bought this little beaut at the end of July and love her. Hopefully you all can help in making upgrade decisions. Looking forward to being a part of the community.

I have heard(seen on here) that there is a spacer that goes between the header & manifold that will do some "real" help with performance.
I'm sure someone will jump in on this when they see it......(I hope).

welcome to the site. Both of your mods would be great additions. Being in San Diego, do you have to go through emissions testing. You could go with a new downpipe and a high flow catalytic converter. Rv6 performance and ultimate racing both offer them with no cat or high flow cats. You'd not pass any type of exhaust inspection with the no-cat version, but the other should pass. I say "should" because I know california has strict emissions testing. I just don't know what you have to go through in San Diego in particular.

webby San Diego emissions aren't as bad as most counties in California. I can get away with having a high-flow cat as long as a cat is present. From my knowledge a downpipe can also be done. I don't have to smog my 12 until 2017 so I will just keep all of my stock parts in case something becomes an issue later on. I am definitely interested in any links that you can provide Also, do you have any information on a fix for our "rev-hang" issue? My dealership was less than forthcoming..

here are the two downpipes that are available - UL is 3" and the RV6 is 2.5" diameter

full-race is supposed to release theirs within the next month, so that'll be another option.

rev hang - the hondata reflash supposedly greatly reduces the rev hang. The hondata flashpro basically eliminates it altogether, and offers custom tuning. The reflash is a 1 time tune that cannot be adjusted.
