ELD question

In my 08 I unplugged the ELD when I got a H/O alt without any problems(models from Canada and Japan didn't even have an ELD). Does anyone know if the ELD in the '13s works the same way and would be ok to unplug?

No one has commented about the ELD on the 9th, so I'm unaware how the car will behave. I know a bunch of users on 8th commented about this guys setup on sounddomain... pics and info in the following pages

Yeah, I saw that back when I first got my 08. Instead of going through all that I just unplugged it like a few others had and it was fine. I've heard a few have bypassed the '12s with no problems but I've heard nothing about the '13s.

If you've read there were no issues on the 12, the 13 will be the same. It's mostly cosmetic changes across the sedan.

Pardon my noobness but what is ELD?

Electronic Load Detector...was in the fuse box in older Hondas...gone the way of the Dodo. Now the PCM does the job. Is it still in US spec cars?
