We know there's lots of drama in NASCAR, and for some reason, Kyle Busch often finds himself in the middle of it. Back in June, Busch found himself in a headlock after a race courtesy of a fellow driver who felt the 26-year-old driver had intentionally bumped him during a cool down lap. Busch also recently lost his drivers license for 45 days after being caught by police doing 128 miles per hour in a Lexus LFA. Fortunately for Busch, NASCAR doesn't require its drivers to have a valid drivers license to race.

Maybe they should, as Busch has again dove headlong into a heap of trouble after intentionally putting Ron Hornaday's truck into the wall during Friday night's Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The incident happened after the two drivers made contact on lap 13, which brought out a caution flag. At that point, Busch aimed his truck at the back of Hornaday's and accelerated, sending his competitor – who happened to be competing for the series championship – into the wall and out of the race.

NASCAR pulled Busch from Friday's race and then followed up by also suspending him for this weekend's Nationwide Series and Sprint Cup races, as well. The governing body has said more penalties are possible and will be considered on Monday.

To all,

I've had a lot of time today to sit and reflect, and try to put my thoughts into words as best I can.

I want to sincerely apologize for my actions during Friday night's Truck Series race at Texas.

I apologize to my fans, all my sponsors, everyone at Joe Gibbs Racing and Kyle Busch Motorsports.

After talking with my team, it's great to have their support and encouragement to assure me that there are better days ahead. Even though this took place while driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, I am sorry for how difficult this has been for everyone associated with Joe Gibbs Racing's Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series teams.

I'd also like to apologize to Ron Hornaday Jr., and everyone associated with the No. 33 team in the Truck Series.

I understand why I was taken out of the car for the rest of the weekend. NASCAR officials had to act, and I accept their punishment and take full responsibility for my actions.

As a racecar driver, the hardest thing to do is to sit on the sidelines listening to cars on the track when you know you should be out there competing. For this, I have no one to blame but myself.

Through a lot of support from the people around me, I feel like I've made a lot of strides this year, but this was certainly a step backward. Moving forward, I will do everything I possibly can to represent everyone involved in a positive manner. However, I know my long-term actions will have more of a bearing than anything I say right now.

Sincerely,

Kyle Busch

Nascar Announces Kyle Busch's Punishment

NASCAR has announced the rest of Kyle Busch's punishment for intentionally wrecking Ron Hornaday, Jr.during the Texas Motor Speedway round of the Camping World Truck Series last weekend: $50,000 and probation until the end of the year. According to the Associated Press, it is exactly the same punishment given to Robby Gordon in 2007 and Kevin Harvick in 2002 for their racing incidents, except those two drivers only paid $35,000.

After accidents weve seen in the past few weeks in different motorsports, Kyle Busch's actions here should have him taken out of racing all together. Hes had NUMEROUS times where hes been fined, and been in the middle of controversy, and after intentionally wrecking another car, with plenty of time to change his mind, He should not be allowed to race professionally again.

There are great up and comers waiting for a chance to get on a truck series team, a nationwide team, or a sprint team.

Shame on him for putting racing in a negative light.

What an idiot. Ban him for life. I don't even care about nascar but this is very dangerous and he's proven himself to act like this many times already. I'm sick of hearing about him.

M&M's Backs Out Of Kyle Busch Sponsorship For Remainder Of The Year

It turns out NASCAR will allow Kyle Busch to participate in the final two Sprint Cup Series events of the year, but don't expect to see his familiar M&Ms livery on the track. Mars said that the company won't sponsor Busch until he returns to racing in 2012, despite the fact that the company feels that the racer has expressed genuine remorse for intentionally putting Ron Hornaday, Jr. into the wall under caution in a recent Truck Series race (click past the jump to re-watch that misstep). That little maneuver is the latest in a series of troubles that have surrounded Busch, and the stunt landed him a $50,000 fine and probation for the remainder of 2011.

Instead of his car's typical melt-in-your-mouth scheme, Busch will campaign an Interstate Batteries livery at the two upcoming Sprint Cup races. Interstate is heavily involved in Busch's team and has sponsored the racer in six cup races so far this year.

Busch has racked up a total of $75,000 is fines this season, thanks in part to a $25,000 incident with Kevin Harvick on pit road that saw Busch wind up in a head lock. As you may recall, Busch also lost his driver's license for a spell after being busted for traveling 128 miles per hour in a Lexus LFA. Rough year.

All I have to say is :pat:

I thought he was suppose to grow up after getting married. If this doesn't change him well.. he might as well go drive a go-kart.

I heard his spotter telling him to calm down a couple times, before putting Hornaday into the wall.

I hope he loses all his sponsors. If hornaday would've died, I wonder if he would be charged with manslaughter.

I was screaming at my tv too, he could have fixed the truck after the wall scrape and come back to win. He's done it before. But this year he's been way too hot headed behind the wheel of his truck. It's one thing to maybe give a warning tap, it's another to take out a championship contender.

Not a good moment.
