How close to the router were you when you did the test?

Just the router Spectrum gave us I did not see a brand on it. And I was only 10' away.

Just got my last piece to my stereo set up.

Router is in the front of the house. This test was done in the back of the house. Via laptop on WiFi

Own my modem / Own my Asus Router (it's older).

That is still not bad at all. I want to get my own equipment so I am not renting it from spectrum.

Yeah they kept raising the prices on rental fees. I think it was up to $11/month for the modem. If you have a gateway it is $13/month.

Since we have voice (thanks to my wife..) through Xfinity... We couldn't just get the cheap modem. I think I have the Netgear Cable Modem w/ Voice (CM500V). Think it was around $100.

I'd like to upgrade my router eventually... but haven't looked at what to go with. I'm also cheap and it's working fine now. Coverage is decent.

I rent my modem and it does telephone and internet very fast like 120mb down, cats pee on it and I get a new one free.
