Hey guys. So about 3-4 weeks to two months after I got my si my bf tells me I have a nail in my tire. Then few weeks later tpms says tire pressure low. So I've been putting in air. Thing is the nail or piece of metal is in the sidewall. Which is why I didn't go to any place to get it fix. I kno we have a Michelin warranty so I went to dealership today n was told I'd need a new tire cuz it's road hazard. Sucks. Don't even know how nail got there in first place ESP in such an awkward spot. So dealership told me $211 + 33 wheel balance alignment. I've looked online tire rack has it for 210, which is th cheapest. It's Michelin pilot mxm4 215/45/R17. I found on bjs a Michelin primacy mxm4 for 154.99. What the heck is the difference. Both r all season. The primacy has a good in the wet rating. So confuzzled.

One model is "pilot" the other is "primacy"
Kinda like asking the difference between a civic and a fit. Lol. Same manufacturer.

Just get the pilot. Don't be the person with mismatching tires because you wanted to save $60 dollars.

If you were replacing all 4 and wanted to be cheap about it. Sure. Pick a cheap tire. But if it's just one tire. Match it to the other three.

Lol ok. I'm gonna get the pilot cuz I don't want to mismatch. I'm just gonna get it at the dealer. It's 211. Plus 33 to install n balance. Got $100 so far.

Wow, a nail in the sidewall. That really sucks. :(

If it's one of your front tires, you may need to switch the front and backs out while you're at it. Depending on the amount of wear difference between the new and other existing tire, you may notice the steering pulling to one side - especially when accelerating or braking. If it's one of the backs, then never mind.
