New 2013 Civic here...NEW Question

Hi folks,
We just purchased a 2013 Civic EX-L (minus nav). We pretty much loaded the car up. I was putting the all-season floor mats in and noticed that there isn't any carpet! Maybe what I should say is that the 'carpet' is more of a 'felt'. It is easily pulled off the floor and is very thin. I have a 2012 Jetta and it has carpet in it!

Am I missing something? Is this how the car was built or did we get taken?

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

It's what they all are. It does feel more like a felt than a traditional car carpet.

It is thin, but feels fairly rugged based on having moved some of it aside working on a stereo system install. There is quite a bit of padding underneath, though

Thank you! My wife LOVES the car! I was just a bit surprised by the carpet!

There are summer carpet mats available from Honda, and there are all season rubber mats.
