It's A Fast Pig!
So i bought a used Nissan Leaf to be my around town car. I needed something reliable that I couldn't mess with too much. It's been great so far. Very comfortable and quiet. I can get to work/groceries/anywhere in town just fine on the short range and I've been getting by just plugging it into the wall at night when I get home. If I only go to work I can charge every other day.

2013 Leaf SV : The night it got home. Trailered back from Tennessee. 3/25/17

And the mods are starting already...... The stock suspension is just too soft and the wheel gap is serious monster truck status. So a set of coils from redshift motorsports has just arrived. Apparently they had to be custom made and sent out from Taiwan. Still got here pretty quick. I guess the Leaf isn't a super popular platform to mod. Who knew! hahahaha

Cat is curious....

And some electrical mods. Pac TR-7 module to turn off the VSP (vehicle sound for pedestrians). The car has a backup beeper and a forward motion speaker so people can hear the car coming. The previous year car had a button to turn it off. Mine has the button but its disable from Nissan. Have to do it myself!

So when are those coils goin on? That's a good place to start. I'm surprised they're a custom order.

I think most cars look better without the gap in the wheel well. Curious what other mods @Nix has in his bag.

Yo @Nix, maybe you can extend your range from 60 to 65 miles with large rubber bands tied to strategically placed charging stations.
Going downhill.

As practical as this car is, your next car better be the most impractical thing ever made.

does it beep like a forklift or a commercial truck backing up?

It's a bit softer with a bit more of a "bong" tone to it but, it's darn loud too! I feel like people must think there is something wrong with me to need a backup beeper. The forward motion sound is like a whoosh/ping noise until I hit about 30mph. I'll try and get a quick video of both but they are both really annoying.

I had though about just disconnecting the speakers but apparently it triggers a bulb-out style warning and disables some other interior noises that are helpful. The module I bought just gets programmed to send a pulse to turn off the VSP forward/reverse noises. The channels to control it are still there, just the button is gone on the dash.
