I just ordered a PS3 slim 250mbs and a controller for racing and two games Grand-T 5, and Tomb Raider.
It'll get here in about a week(be nice if they could bundle the shipments-Amazon).

Is there an adapter that I can use to make an old PS(1) controller work on my PS3 ? Anyone?

note - those will obviously be wired remotes, while ps3 remotes are wireless.

yes. That adapter hooks into the stock PS1 or PS2 controllers, and then you run them into the USB ports on the front of the playstation 3. You'll just need to be whatever distance to your playstation with the wired controller. Your PS3 wireless controller gives you the ability to be further back or roam without wires. I believe the slim ps3 has like 2 USB ports on the front. That's what those adapters will hook into

I should also mention that the wireless controller that comes with the ps3 has a removable USB cord. You use that to charge the controller on the front USB port when the internal battery is low. Plug the controller in, and it charges that way.
