Steering Wheel Control Lights

I couldn't find an answer to this. I have been reading that the 2013 Si w/ Navi comes with light up steering wheel controls. Does this mean the Si without the Navi has no lighting for its steering wheel controls?

my 2012 Si without navi steering wheel controls light up when the headlights come on, I'm sure it's the same with the 13

They all light up,my car looks like a jet at night, I have a 12 non nav.
