This Is The Dumbest Way To Hide A Stolen Truck

Police in upstate New York had a tip that a guy named "Jeff" who was affiliated with a construction company in Murray might be involved with the theft of a 26-foot box truck earlier this week. When they flew over the construct company's sand pit they found this.

Not smart, Jeff. Not smart.

It all started earlier this week when a box truck when missing from a business in Macedon, New York. Local police told Orleans County Sheriff's they thought the aforementioned Jeff was involved and where he might be.
A couple of days later, according to The Batavia News, police in a helicopter spotted Jeffery Paul trying to bury the truck with some construction equipment.

The construction equipment was also stolen.

For the moment, Paul and his father are only on the hook for possession of stolen property pending further investigation.

We're not sure what else Jeff might have been doing in the time he was supposed to burying the truck, but to quote Ron Swanson: "Don't half-*** two things. Whole-*** one thing."
