Cool..., but makes no sense. Why would anyone care to have their automobiles (two of them) in your apartment.
I'd rather keep them somewhere else, where I know they'll be kept ready and out of my way until I need them. The space in the apartment could be better utilized than for two parking spots and a large elevator.
One of my family members, who live on 5th avenue in NY, have a seperate parking garage across the street from their building. They pull up to the curb, get out of the car, and one of the attendents drives it into the garage. When they need the car again, they tell the doorman, who calls over to the garage, and within two minutes it is running/waiting out front for them.
They rarely drive their cars. 99% of the time, they just sit in the garage. Most of the time they are being driven somewhere by somebody else.
I like the porsche parker.............. But I can see where I would like the apartment one if I had some cars like that, kind of like having art on display.
I think it's pretty cool. If I lived in a big city like that with a nice car I wouldn't mind being able to keep an eye on it. No door dings and no key marks or theft!
I would give up everything I own for a GT-R and I would live in it if I had to!
last two times I've had my car in the city where parking was underground (controlled purely by valet)....the car came back with door dings or scratched paint.

I reject valet parking clerks. Then I get told to park on a side street. Lol.
I like the idea, but doing it on a building is rather too much. If I had a house with a garage right by the living room, I might destroy the wall that separates both rooms and replace it with a huge piece of glass window. Lol.
They had plans in Uptown Charlotte, NC to build a building that would have the same type of elevator system for your car and would allow 2 cars per apt.
Never got built with the economy going in the crapper. If it wasn't a huge price increase to comparable apts with out the car elevator I would buy into this car elevator thing.
