he emailed me back and everything but I just kind of lost interest in the supplier. They weren't worried about trying to develop new parts for the 2012. At all.
Update: Working with the website to settle promo prices. These guys are really helpful and always seem to reply in a timely manner. Will post again after I hear back from Dan on prices, then I plan on posting some review articles for whatever parts they want evaluated. So stoked to see some...
280 hp sounds perfect to me. Would it seriously still be making 40mpg? Gotta love this engine... Now what type of upgrades are we talking, here? Majority bolt-ons build?
Ok, I'm seeing all this info about how well-suited the K series engine in the Si is for boost...but next to no information on the R18 powerplant in the non-Si civic variants. Would it be justifiable to boost this "inferior" engine, or should I just be looking for an engine-swap instead?
Whooooooo!!!!
Now, that that's out of the way, Exciting news to share with whoever's interested! Bummed as I was with the (basically) lack of aftermarket support, I decided to contact the afore-mentioned website to see if they would be willing to expand to a new market (R18 owners, sorry Si...
Did anyone else notice how everybody wanted to bash the new civic right after it came out? It was like everybody had already decided that they would NOT like the civic, period. Now that it's been out for awhile, everybody wants to change their minds; "Oh, maybe it's not such a bad little car...
Ohhhhh, prettyyyy...I like the D2's look, though. I have a weakness for purple, you see. I'm honestly thinking about purple rims on my black LX...it'd be fairly unique, right?
I think we should also be using this thread to debate whether to simply install lowering springs, or go with a full coilover kit instead. My personal tastes are function>form, so for me, a civic on coilovers seems like the safest way to achieve a more aggressive look, while also boosting your...
LX? I'm right here with you, Patrick. I agree, though, about the bang for your buck, and my problem with performance is mainly acceleration and the body-roll when you take a turn a little too fast;). If I could find a compatible suspension upgrade, I'd be all over it! as for the no-stick tires...
I've heard that many of the axelback exhausts for the 8th gen SI's are compatible with the 2012 LX...can anyone verify this? I was under the impression that the hangers lined up and everything. If so, can anyone suggest some axelback's that were relatively unnoticable, soundwise, until the upper...
God i hate fart-cans...I will admit to having a slightly heavy foot, and a fart can just paints a target on you, nevermind the fact that it's classless and, in my opinion, an embarassment to your car. Since my windows are already 5% (legal limit in OH is 25%), I don't need a whole lotta help...
Would I get the same type of gains doing this to an automatic LX? Don't judge, I'm 18 paying for my first car lol. Plus, my insurance rep pretty much laughed at me when i hinted at preferring an SI...Also, side note, my exhaust note on the auto LX already outshines most of the fart-can tuners in...
Nope, I notice the rattle as well!! 2012 Honda Civic LX (Alas, it's an auto):) But, yes, when you turn up the sound, the windows rattle noticeably. I DID notice, however, that from 3+ feet away, you can't hear the rattle. I'm betting this has to do with the Civic's infamous lack of sound...
uhmmm...well idk what you guys were talking about, but i was gonna ask about the dragon meet lol...I know when but not specifically where. However, I am only 18, so if you guys were wanting to avoid having "kids" show up, I completely understand. My birthday is the 22nd of sept, so i was...
would anyone else like to see another honda team that doesn't suck..? maybe it's just me, but i would be stoked to see honda producing a powerplant for an F1 team...I think it shows a lot of passion about the performance side of your company, and that you're not just out for the money...
