i hate steelies

Heh. Yeah but you need to order new stock hyundai lugs.. which might have a different thread pitch. (they might not thread on)

Might be cheaper also with tuner lug/adapter combo.
Yeah, but the wheel will go on Honda wheel studs so there's no need getting Hyundai lug nuts. Lol.

ok so i have an lx with hubs and caps and cant stand them. one of my fiends is selling his stock 18" veloster wheels (18x7.5 @24 ish lbs) he would give them to me for dirt cheap so im thinking of that BUT here are my issues:

1. will they fit? the bolt pattern is the same but i dono about the offset and all that.

2. they weigh like 24 lbs which is pretty heavy should i save the money and just buy a legit set of after market wheels?

24lbs a rim + 24lbs a tire (214/40-18 or 225/40-18) you will add about 48lbs of unsprung weight to your car, i wouldn't suprise your mpg will go down to 23mpg

Aight so the thread pitch is probably the same. Still... check your LX lugs and see if they have the retainer rings that hold on the hubcap. The ring may not fit in the lug hole on the hyundai rim. You could always break it off as it's just plastic, but if you ever needed your old wheels back on you'll be in a bit of a minor pickle.

The washers that hold the hub caps on are removable. The honda wheel locks for both steelies w/ hubs and alloys wheels are the same. With steelies, you pull the washers off and transfer them. When I got my alloys, I just pulled all the washers and reused the lugs

Nice! Thanks mikey! I wasn't sure. I never tried or needed to try and remove mine.

..... god.... why do stealies look like poo. and im only at 31.4 mpg..

Steelies that I wish we could run... Aero race wheels. 15x7 and 16x7 with correct bolt pattern available but only in stupid low like +0 and +15 offsets that won't fit! Darn it! I wanted sweet blue or green chrome winter steelies.

sorry for the double post but this is a pic of one of the wheels. there plastidipped and one has slight curb rash but i can throw another coat of plastidip on it and itl be fine.

It would be better to remove the plastidip and body fill/sand the damaged area. Then spray again w/ plastidip.

it looks from the pic to be purely cosmetic. the guy is a friend of mine and he lives in the next town over so im gonna take a look at them in person.

You will im pretty sure especially since you arent using stock tires or whatever. I havent gotten new ones yet for my wheels but unless that tire service light-up bugs you, its not too big of a deal, just make sure they arent looking flat or anything before you drive.
