Anyone here a beer advocate?

Yeah, rating beers is hard cause its so subjective. Find something you like and drink it! I find it funny how well regarded stella is, I don't particularly like it at all.

If I just want something to put me to bed the St.Bernardus ABT12 does the trick pretty well.

Agreed. You can somewhat tell how good a beer is going to be based on its rating but the only way to really tell is to try it.

I'm not bashing on Yuengling, I just found how significant the score is using it as a comparison. I drank 7 Yuenglings on a semi-formal party 2 weeks ago. Lol. I didn't get drunk. The other two choices were Corona and Heineken (which I don't like too much). I like Stella Artois. It's hard for me to dislike it. I think it is just a bit on the sweet side and the after taste probably is the main problem to a lot of people. I just had 4 tonight.

Stella Artois is just Bud in a fancy bottle :giggle:

I had yuenglings at a party few weeks ago, either I was really beach fatigued or they were trashy *** beers.

but I had 2, which I couldn't finish either one of.

I'm really digging dos equis.

AB has nothing to do with the Stella brewing process. Well it may not be great, it's not THAT bad :giggle:

I can't drink Yuengling either. It's such a big beer around where I live. Everyone loves it. I don't think it's any good.

Yuengling lacks the taste, but it is one of the better cheap beers.

The Stella packaging clearly says the ingredients include "maize" :giggle:

Drinking Duvel Golden Ale.

It is very sweet scented. It tastes more like strong champagne than beer. Lol.

Your dad and brother like craft beers? Or are they more of BMC guys?

My brother is not a fan of IPA and the Duvel reminded him of it. My dad is more of a lager type. He mostly drinks Heineken and Becks.

I wasn't able to drink anything good this weekend unfortunately. I do need to have one beer before I go to bed though. Let me see what I have in the fridge.

I still have my Chimay Tripel and Chimay Grande Reserve. But those are too good to drink at the moment. I have a few Hop Devils, SN Pale Ales, SN Torpedo IPAs, Flying Dogs Raging Bitches, and Goose Island 312s.

I think I'll have a Raging *****. It's strong, and not my favorite of the bunch. It should do the trick.

I'm enjoying this a lot more than the last time I had it. I think it's gotten better with age (probably about 6 weeks now)

Just found out that there is a wine store less than 5 minutes away from my apartment that supposedly has a pretty good craft beer selection (I'll be the judge of that).

Mind = blown
