2015 Si Body Skirts

Hi all,

Aside from my introduction post in the 'Welcome' section this is my first post on the site. Please be gentle :)

My current ride is a 1995 Acura Integra GSR that has around 110k miles on the clock. It's been a great car but at 20 years old, things are starting to wear out and I don't think it's worth putting a lot of money into it at that age.

I'm looking at a new 2015 Si coupe and have seen that Honda offers optional body skirts for the front, rear and sides. My question is do these skirts perform any function apart from making the car look a little nicer? My local dealer (David McDavid Honda in Frisco, TX) says the skirts are really just for looks, - which is refreshing honesty from a dealer if correct. What do you folks say?

Also, has the rev-hang issue been fixed on the 2015?

Thanks for you input.

Regards,

^ with a tune. The flashpro base map itself doesn't quite remove it. It helps the hang according to reviews, but doesn't completely eliminate it.

Look into the clutch delay valve delete also. Should help with some of the feel.
