22mm progress rear sway bar coupe si

Its not necessarily a bad thing on a front wheel drive car. This only happened on a 180 degree pivot or hairpin turn. Mostly because I was braking very hard and trail braking into the turn to keep the front tires loaded. In this case most of the weight is on the front outside tire, where most of your grip is coming from. Some people will say 4 tires on the ground is better than 3 but in that situation, even if you had 4 tires on the ground the inner rear tire has barely any weight on it anyways.

If you are lifting a tire on the drive wheels with a LSD then you cant put any power down since it acts as an open diff in that instance. Thats also why a very stiff front end on our car is bad because it unloads the inner wheel on turns and affects the differential in the same way. Some rear wheel cars can even lift a front inner wheel coming out of a corner.

Very good information in this thread. I will be installing my coilovers and new rims and tires, end of this week early next. See how that car handles. Stock is garbage. I amy be ordering the progress RSB soon !

As long as you are getting your hustle on that's all that matters man. Make sure you post back to give some feedback on the rear sway bar of yours.

yeah i will :) and Nix has it either in his or his wifes ride

My wife and I both have the progress rear sways on our cars. It's a world of difference. They make the car feel how it should have come from the factory. It's more noticeable on the DX/LX/EX models since they have a smaller rear sway than the Si. We also both now have the moog endlinks and energy greaseable sway bushings.

Shes on HFP suspension and im running Neuspeed sports w/Koni yellows and RSX front lower control arm hard poly compliance bushings. Her car is still nice to ride in. Mine gives you a headache but I love it.

How's the greasable bushings? I might get them for my Progress RSB before winter.

They're nice. They aren't really an upgrade performance wise but the ability to re-grease them in 5 minutes and not have to take anything apart is really really nice. Just get a good grease gun and a flexible extension hose. Pop it on there, couple pumps and you're done. For $20-ish I didn't mind getting them.

I know markA posted something about the fitment being very close on one side so you might want to replace the fitting on one of them with a 90 degree one. Ill see if I can find the thread it was in.

WP_000532.jpgits up and my buddy is under it eating a twizzler.... lol
WP_000531.jpg comparison shot old vs new
WP_000533.jpg just a shot of it in

after we got the endlinks off which sucks the hardest part was getting the swaybar in there over a bracket and past my exhaust. over all wasnt that bad :) it dosent feel like your going around a corner anymore. its a world of difference lol

Nice pic of them side by side.......... I couldn't believe how wimpy, wimpy, wimpy the stock bar was when I changed mine.
