So, there's a local guy selling his 22 mm Progress sway bar. He has an 8th Gen sedan. Would this sway bar fit my 9th Gen sedan? Something tells me the answer is no.

:yeahthat:

If the seller isn't including a set of Si brackets, you'll need those in order to bolt the bottom of the bushings on.
Okay, thanks. So what all should I be asking is included? ( I have no experience with sway bars.)

1) Sway bar
2) Si brackets (Si? Why Si? Shouldn't it be Progress bushings?)
3) ?
4) ?

Progress includes them in their "9th gen" kit, which is essentially the 8th gen. They never used to include them for the 8th gen, so non-Si owners had to buy Si brackets. It all depends when the seller purchased the RSB. This may help explain it better:

So... if brackets are not included, just follow the directions in RED :D Other than the sway bar itself, nothing else is required. Unless you want the reinforcement brackets which require drilling; they just add rigidity.

Wow. Thanks for the footwork. The diagram is really helpful.

How do you like this sway bar?
What would say would be a good price for me to pay for a used one, probably for just the bar. I will need to order the rest of the parts.

You're welcome Pauly, we're all here to help one another :)

I love my Progress RSB. It was my first suspension mod and I noticed the difference right away. Used for just the bar, I'd say about $100 especially if it's local.

Thanks for info guys. I offered him $ 100, but am ready to go to $125.00. We'll see what happens.

BTW... He said it would come with parts #10 (a little hidden in picture) and #11.
Would I need to order other parts?

When I take my sway bar off, I would imagine I could use the same bolts. ??? (#37 in diagram.)

He's at $140.00 plus i would have to Pay 25$ to havé it shipped from Montréal.

I reused the top bolt with my Progress RSB, it's the bottom bolt that's different, at least with the hardware that comes with the brand new bar. I'm not 100% sure if the bottom bolt can be reused on the Si mounting bracket, but the part numbers are different.

Compared to part #37 above, these are the bolts for the non-Si (measurements are 8x16): 93401-08016-08

That's a little high, especially if you have to pay for shipping and buy extra parts. At the price for all that, you could have a brand new bar with everything included for ~$170 as @webby mentioned. I bought mine from @RedShiftChris for $185 shipped, but prices have gone down since then.
