Anyone here a beer advocate?

Everything I picked up Saturday.

2 Cali-Belgium Stone IPAs. Delicious. I had this beer once before, and haven't been able to find it for a while. Finally saw it and picked up the last two bottles.

That Honey of a Saison was $3.99 for the bottle. So I bought it. 11.5 abv. It was a well done beer, just not my taste at all. Very sweet.

A good ole bottle of Chimay White.

And the blurry pic, a sixer of Stone Pale Ale (which I've been looking for, for a while now. I surprisingly have never seen it) and a 4 pack of West Coast IPA from Green Flash. I must say I was disappointed with it. I typically like Green Flash beers but there was something about it I wasn't a fan of.

Cali-belgique is :drooling:

Thats another one in my top 5. The Belgian yeast simmers down the over-the-top Stone hops to produce something very enjoyable

It's easily my favorite Stone beer. And that's same something because I've never had a Stone I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

There's just something about that beer that is perfect. And it's so affordably priced. Those were only $4.99 each, all the way out here on the east coast.

Enjoying a nice refreshing hefe after this long day......

I really wish I could get a hold of some Weihenstephaner. Kellerweises are good but no where near that level.

I went to Costco to buy pizza. I left with another 24 pack of Stella Artois. :pat:

I wish the Costcos in PA were allowed to sell alcohol :pat:

I've heard that some had Duvel 3 packs of 750ml bottles for $21. That is a ridiculously good price, considering one bottle alone costs me $12. Do they have it at your costco?

I'm pretty sure the beer sold in the Costco I go to is in bulk or not in individual bottles. They also sell a bunch of wine and hard liquor. But the variety changes from time to time. I want some Duvel now. Lol.

Well a 3 pack of 750ml bottles would be considered bulk as far as that type of beer goes :giggle:

At the store I can only get it in individual 750ml bottles or 3 packs of 11oz bottles.

I know. Like I said though, varieties change from time to time. So I'll see it probably.

Had a Hoegarden after that one. That and the Weihenstephaner were $3.50 each which is a very good price. I tried ordering a Traquair House ale but it was $12 for a bottle :pat:

I did end up buying this though to take home...

Also, the beer distributor was there bringing some stuff when I was leaving. He had a bunch of Southern Tier. I saw at least 3 cases of Pumpking. I know what I'm getting next time I'm there.

Don't waste your time with the Traquair House. I had one on good authority that it was excellent and I found it very plain and kinda nasty actually.

Belhavens Wee Heavy is pretty decent. I also found Orkneys Skullsplitter to be good.

Im annoyed that they updated the label. I thought this old one was pretty awesome with the "uncertain" Viking.

Really? Hmm, interesting. I was told that it was pretty good. I'm down to try anything once, but not at that ridiculous price.

And :giggle: That first label is awesome. Definitely better than the second. I'll pick it up for sure if I ever see it.

And my Weihenstephaner picture got 13 likes on the Beer Advocate What Are You Drinking Now Thread? :giggle:

Happy IPA day everyone. It just so happens to fall on the birthday of one of my favorite beers. Luckily I have two in the fridge right now :eyebrows:

Had a SN Kellerweis, SN Tumbler, SA Ruby Mild (new flavor from Harvest Collection), 25oz Stone Cali-Belgique IPA, Rogue Daddy's Little Helper, and a Victory Hop Devil. Not a bad assortment of beers by any means. The Stone easily stole the show however.
