Anyone here a beer advocate?

It's been a while. I've just been going back to back with the Sam Adams Lager and Octoberfest. :giggle

But here is something new I've tried:

I've had a lot of good beers this summer. I usually remember to take pics but I haven't gotten around to posting them in here. I did manage to get my hands on a couple of the limited release Bells "Mars" IPA from their planet series. I drank one, it was fantastic. I also scored a single bottle of the limited release Stone w00t stout 2.0, I have not opened that yet.

I had a Kona Longboard IPA today, and I must say it wasn't all that bad. I usually am not a fan of super hoppy beers

AH! They changed the can! That stuff is like a better Heineken. Also, the official tree or symbol of the Dutch Royal Family I believe.

I was at a bar tonight that had Dogfishead 120min on tap. I got a sample but that is definitely a beer that needs to age a bit. It's just not good fresh. Also, a 20% beer seems like a dangerous pint to consume in public.

I tried dogfishead once, not a fan.
Oranjeboom is nothing too special, but it is very good and smooth.
And yes, they changed the can a few weeks ago, that made me want to try it again lol.

90min is better than the 120min, IMO.

Lost Coast Brewery - Downtown Brown
Lots of chocolate and nutty flavor for a brown.

Tumbler>Oktoberfest>Vienna. However, I like Sierra Nevada's Oktoberfest more than Sam Adams'.

I don't think I've seen that here.
