Apartment Water Damage

I ended up talking to the regional manager, who assessed the situation and decided that letting me out of my lease was the best option. I moved to another complex with the same management company, where the local management at this complex is much better and the property is in much better shape. They waived my fees (minus deposit). Costs me around $130 more a month in rent, but I also have around 200 more sq. ft. and a 2nd bedroom/den, along with about 15-20 years newer apartment.
That's a great result, and you handled it really professionally, especially considering its your 1st apartment and you're only 22! Took some of us (no names) a while to gain that maturity. I looked at the pics of your new place and it is SWEET! Good luck.

It was really hard to keep my cool when they were making the leak not sound like a big deal or priority at all. Sometimes I can still be pretty immature though lol
