Don't upgrade your town hall prematurely! Those upgrades you skipped become twice as hard every single town hall upgrade you go to... this is the easiest way to make the game impossible for yourself.
Finally started on purple walls!!! Unfortunately, I haven't been proactive in raiding since I have been so busy. The 1 gem boost for a week or so was awesome!
Other than walls, I need to upgrade two Wizard Towers, build one more Hidden Tesla and upgrade both, upgrade three Barracks, and upgrade the Dark Elixir Storage. That will max everything out for TH lv 7. Otherwise, just a few more things on the research side.
