I wasn't sure where to put this thread...

I've been thinking about getting tuned for E85 because there are a couple stations around me that offer it, and so i've read some articles about it but have gotten mixed opinions on some issues.

So I wanted to ask:
Would i have to do any mods besides a tune to run on E85?
Any known problems/issues from running it?

How much increase in mpgs and performance am i really looking at?
Any other things i should know about it?

it's really for people running turbos/superchargers at high psi.

I plan on going supercharged sometime in the future, I guess i'll find out more by then
 
bigger injectors - more fuel is needed for e85 w/tune.
 
Put simply. I love the K24 and its torque. There is something nice about NA motors. What should I expect with a K&N SRI, coolant bypass, 3in catless DP, 3in catback, RBC intake manifold, ZDX TB, "adequate" injectors, E85, and a nice vitviper tune?

Maybe CTEngineering has a better solution to all of that ^^^ but still NA is nice
 
Out of curiosity. What if someone were to add the CP 12.5:1 compression pistons and K1 forged rods and of course the supporting mods such as head gasket, arp head studs and what not.

What would that yield with the the mods mentioned above??
 
250whp a little more or a little less depending on the dyno if you run e-85 your looking at 260-275whp with supporting mods like rbc bigger injectors,throttle body, downpipe, catback, cold air intake and machining the head for better air flow and also machining the rbc will help alot. 275whp I would say would be very achievable by adding cams, valve springs and retainers.

RBC injectors aren't big enough for e85 bud
 
maybe that was supposed to be "rbc, bigger injectors, ..." Just missing the comma?
