If you have D2 Coilovers...

We did not have this issue when we did a local test fit (we just checked with the customer who still has it installed and they have not experienced this) but we will further investigate this and report back with any findings.

The 8th gen isolators are working for me.. im sure the 9th gen ones would slip off with the significant size difference

yeah mine are always falling out thats why I asked, and I also ordered the 8thgen ones to see how they would work since my buddy also said he had to buy them.

So it looks like these coilovers are meant for 8th gen and not 9th gen.

They have stated many times that it was fitted on a 9th gen prior to its production and realistically there isnt much of a difference in 8ths and 9ths suspension anyway.

Ok all, sorry for the delay. We have investigated the issue with the rear upper bushing and have concluded this is not a widespread issue. There are 2 solutions to rectify the issue:

1. Purchase the rear upper spring rubbers for the 8th Gen Civic PN: 52691-SNA-A01

or

2. Contact us for a revised upper bushing that we will send at no charge. These are KOK brand rubber isolators and will resolve the issue if you are having problems with the OEM 9th Gen bushing slipping out of place.

Concerning the mounts for affected customers. They are still in production and will hopefully ship from the factory at the end of this week (10/19/2012).

Is it that the bushing is wrong or is it that the upper part of the spring is too wide for the 9th gen bushing?

As stated before, this is not a widespread issue. I have both the 8th gen and 9th gen bushing/isolators here, and although the 9th gen is smaller, the D2 Hi/Lo adjuster mounts ok with extra rubber material extending out using the 9th Gen bushing/isolator. We have tested these on ALL versions (2dr/4dr, incl Si but minus the hybrid) 9th gen Civics and have not seen this issue. We have one car with over 6 months of driving (7500+miles) and when we inspected it the other day, the OEM 9th Gen bushing was still in place and intact.

That being said, we are committed to customer satisfaction and are offering replacement bushings at no charge to ANY 9th Gen Civic customer with the D2 Racing coilovers installed on their chassis having this problem.

FWIW, there is only 4mm difference (thats 2mm each side) in diameter between the 8th and 9th Gen bushing.

UPDATE: Mounts have shipped from the factory and should arrive at our NC warehouse mid to late next week. As soon as they arrive, they will ship the same day. Thank you very much to the customers that have been patient and understanding during the process!!!

thanks for the update. will you be emailing us tracking numbers?

And also, replacing the upper mounts is only a matter of unbolting the 4 camber screws that's holding it down correct?

Hey guys I was able to install the upper mounts this weekend and it definitely sits flush now with the new design. D2 also sent replacement rubber pieces for the rear setup but didnt use them as i feel more comfortable with the 8th gen insulators. thanks again D2!

Awesome man, I received mine as well I just havent got around to installing them yet. And I too feel more comfortable with the 8thgen rear isolaters. Post pics if you can dude.

yea i got my mounts and installed them. They look like 8th camber plates. and yea i got little rubber pieces with mine too. But the 8th rear isolators fit perfect.

D2 Racing - Thanks for supporting my customers with this issue. Much appreciated and props for getting the problem fixed in a timely fashion!
