In need of some opinions on my wheels

so you've got to get them to ship you 2 replacement rims??

Well good news and bad news... good news is I'm heading out to get the car in a few minutes. Bad news is that they shipped 2 wheels @ 17x7 and 2 wheels @ 17x8 so my rear tires are a little stretched at the moment til the correct ones arrive. Hopefully it doesn't look too odd for the next 2 weeks til the right ones get here!
I can't wait for pics too! Maybe the wheels will look staggered, you never know...maybe you will like the way it looks!

so you have a pair for free? or do you have to return the 8" ones? I'd run the 8" on the front for a more aggressive look.

They mounted the wider ones on the back (though I agree, it's odd on a front-wheel drive) but I could always switch them. And no... when the new ones arrive I have to give the incorrect ones back. One suffered a ding during shipping and thank God it was one of the wrong sized ones! Had I not already had the brand new tires off the stock wheels I probably would have gone 8 wide all around, but as it is I killed the budget without getting new tires. Anyways, here are a few pics of the mis-matched ones!

not bad at all! :thumb: From looking at those pics I can't even tell there is a width difference. How do you like them?

Love them! And yeah... you can only tell when you're closer that the rear wheels are stretched so hopefully not many people will notice between now and when the matching ones arrive, lol.

That is a nice set of Works!

Good stuff! Now save up some $$$ to lower the car! :giggle:

Can tell a little that the tire is stretched but may not have noticed if it wasn't mentioned.

Wheels look really nice! Can't even see the width difference in pics.

I forgot you had the HFP suspension, a tad too subtle of a drop for my taste but I'm sure the ride is great.

It is pretty minimal, but I learned with my last car that drops and Candian winters don't go together well. You either need to buy a winter beater car or expect to use your lip kit to be plowing snow for 3-4 months of the year. Regardlless, I'll probably see what eventually comes on the market but right now I don't much care for any of the available choies anyways!

lol, choices? there are 9th gen choices available now? Pretty sure your suspension is the only legitimate 9th gen out there. My 8TH GEN road magnets weren't a choice, I was tricked into buying them; or you could say I was swindled, bamboozled, duped, hoodwinked, :owned: etc etc etc. I bet compared to the road magnets ride I would probably settle for an inch less drop. My handling is improved compared to stock but I have to think not much would drive/handle better on the road than the HFP kit. And I didn't think about the winter roads, I was born in boston, mass so I've seen people make their own path using a Honda on an un-plowed road, I can only imagine how short of a life a slammed Si with a lip kit would have in those conditions...or better yet how it would even make it through half of the time.

either way the wheels do looks sick! I like them a lot

Haha, sorry... that's what I meant (either the widely despised Road Magnets or using an 8th gen setup). I should have used "choices" in quotations.

i have been reading a couple of treads that you posted in and see you are in Canada and have a HFP kit on a blue Civic, how ? i am also in Canada and bought a HFP civic but was under the impression that they were only available in Black or white, how did you get a blue one ?
Is it the full HFP kit or is it just the ground effects kit ? just wondering because i noticed that you have the 17 in oem wheel instead of the 18 in HFP wheel.

sorry for questions , Love the Dyno Blue II

she bought the hfp body kit and suspension after she bought the car

225s would make the wheels stand out more. I love 225s on 7" wheels.
