*****LADIES*****

I'm the geology department.

Did I read that right?

I tech Physical Geology, Historical Geology and Geographic Information Systems. In the past I've taught College Success and Environmental Biology.

How does one teach Geology and Biology classes? Did you double major or get a minor in Bio as an undergrad?

I teach accounting classes as an adjunct for a satellite campus of a large university.

Yup you read that right. I teach allll the geology so I'm the department. It's sometimes lonely but mostly awesome. The bio class I taught was our capstone and it was all about water and environmental issues that I've had training in. We got away with it because the Lead Instructor had a PhD in Bio....and never came to one class.

Since you have not said you are a chair, I assume a Geology degree is not actually offered?

That's one heck of a schedule.

Sure is. Gotta pay for mods though!

I also serve as Treasurer/pro bono bookkeeper for a local Not-for-Profit(NFP). My wife is also a full time student (graduates with a double major in December), is the President of one club and VP of another on campus, works part time, and serves on a board/is an organizer for a local (soon to be NFP) organization.

It seems crazy, but we are both enjoying what we are doing right now. We are trying to establish ourselves well in the community and set ourselves up to succeed with our careers.

Most of my students are taking geology as a science credit and then they will transfer to universities. I have converted some people to geology majors :bananasplit: but we don't offer any majors here.

I don't envy your schedule! I hope things calm down for you guys in a little bit. That's really impressive!

Mine isn't likely to calm down for another year and a half or so. I still have five classes to go after this semester for my second Masters degree. My wife on the other hand is going into public accounting. She will be just as busy, but with less juggling.

I took Geology as a science elective and quite enjoyed it, btw!
