Made in China NAVI

the android operating system is/runs off linux? i never knew that... lol i love android.. i tried linux in the past and hated it.. no support... :(

support for Linux is basically only in the community forums for each of the distributions (i.e., Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc) that's about as official as it gets. Ubuntu is a great OS to run on your machine if you're just looking for something to really get your brain working though I'd say these days the developers are trying to make various distributions of Linux more user friendly in order to expand their user base.

sorry it toook me so long to post some back up pics....

Don't think anyone didn't believe you. I think they just wanted to see how it looked. Thanks for posting.

but u kno honestly webby, if i was given the choice between steeringwheel controls or backup camera, id take backup cam..... i kinda hope honda figures this out too, been rumours of backup cams on the 2013s, hope factory NAVI has this.... afaik, they dont in the 2012s and prior do they?

2012 and prior do not have the backup cam. It's been said the 2013's will have it, and it'll display through the imid.

well all these good ideas cost money..... looking back tho, i got the most bang for my buck.... otherwise i would have bought a fit, but for what i wanted the fit was a little more money....

Yep. It's cool they did this for the 2013 models which made me a bit jealous. lol. But seeing here it can be done on the 2012 with add-ons so it's cool.

lol she needs wiped it looks like.

hahaha my point exactly.. who gets out of their car then wipes off the lense befor they backup? fair weather its great... but if not... uggghhh... lol sadly ... lol tsk tsk same reason i havent tinted the windows.... lol

Yep. Back of the car picks up the worst of the worst off the road. Would be cool if the camera got a automatic cover that opens up whenever it's being used. More moving parts prone to failure so easier to clean the cover once in awhile.

so true bro, go patent your idea for backup cameras.. makes alot of sense to me. your shutter idea would make millions. :)

Hey how is the navi holding up? Any problems? You have any pics of the home screen?

I think some manufacturers have a cover that retracts when you put the car in reverse. I'm sure I saw this somewhere. My only issue with that is with the ice that we get in Canada during the winter, what would the chances be of it trying to open and the motor burning up or just breaking? It is a great idea though.

Thanks webby! I want to hit that buy it now button lol but im scared of the quality :/
