The guy who does http://americaridesmaps.com/ called the Diamondback (Rt 226a) ... "the Dragon at a 45 degree angle".
That whole area is pretty much a separate trip... planned for September.

Now that it's been repaved and some of the off-camber corners have been corrected, it's a lot better to drive (and not quite as dangerous as before).

Can you post a map of your favorite spots on the 80/226, etc., that neck of the woods generally? Would really appreciate it.

Don't worry, there are plenty of things to keep you busy on 226A.
 
FYI folks, more rooms are available at the Robbinsville Microtel for the week of 5/17. It's a nice place, I'll be around down there from 5/18 until the 23rd if anyone wants to meet up.

Thanks my good man. So you like the southern part of the 80, ending just miles from the "Birdhouse" cabin we're scheduled to rent in September. And of course 226A, not to be confused with the 226. Can't wait to try it... that is for dang sure.
The only reason to drive 226 is to get back to Little Switzerland so you can run 226A again.
