We really need to rally i was just over on 9thgen and reading posts about "my rotors are rusting when i wash my car these are crappy rotors" and "no trunk liner on the Si honda Fd up big time" i was ready to pull my hair out or shoot myself.

spread the wealth of info...

I sent more cards out today, and usually have some go out almost every day. If you enjoy a thread, recommend it to facebook, twitter, google at the bottom of each thread. It just takes one click. Anything that helps others potentially find the site, helps us out. The more users who do it, the better.

I forgot to mention that I got the cards on Saturday. I'll spread them out as best I can, but on a small island like this there's only so many people.

What did they expect? Stainless steel rotors? :pat:

I was reading that thread today and they said Honda used iron rotors because they were trying to cheap out and didn't care about rust, not because it has the higher heat capacity than stainless steel or aluminum.

Cuz you know, brakes tasked with stopping 2800lbs of steel and plastic don't generate a lot of heat or anything...

Cast iron also has a much higher yield strength than aluminum.

Maybe they expected carbon ceramic rotors. So their wheels don't get dirty from rust.
